Joseph Sublet, 75, of Rosalie, Nebraska, passed away on Monday, January 31, 2011 at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, NE. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 5, at 2:00 p.m. at the United Methodist Church in Rosalie. There will be no visitation. Interment will be in the Lyon's Cemetery, Lyons, Nebraska.
Joe was born on March 30, 1935 in Rosalie, Nebraska, the son of Al and Elva Sublet. He loved playing football in his younger years for Rosalie High School, where he graduated in 1952. He went on to play for Wayne State College where he met his wife, Doris Skheane. They had three children; Carla, Dana and Chad before separating. He was an avid follower and fan of the Nebraska Cornhuskers. He worked for several years in the oil industry before moving back to Rosalie.
Joe is survived by his children: Carla, Dana and Chad, many grandchildren, his sister Stephanie and husband Lawrence Gill, and many nieces and nephews.
Joe was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Madonna Carlsten.
