Jack V. Krueger

Jack V. Krueger, 86, of Wakefield, Nebraska died on Monday, September 12, 2011 at Providence Medical Center in Wayne, Nebraska. Funeral services for Jack will be held on Thursday, September 15, 2011 at 10:00 A.M. at Salem Lutheran Church in Wakefield; Pastor Darwin Garton will be officiating. The visitation will be held on Wednesday from 3:00 until 8:00 P.M. at the Bressler ~ Munderloh Funeral Home in Wakefield. The family will be present from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. with a prayer service at 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday evening. Burial will be in the Wakefield Cemetery. Jack was born on March 9, 1925 on a farm south of Winside, Nebraska, the son of Frank and Anna (Fredricksen) Krueger. He attended school in Winside and graduated in 1942. He began farming after his graduation. On September 6, 1947, Jack was united in marriage to Mildred Johnson in Wakefield, Nebraska. To this union three children were born: Keith, Robert and Donna. The couple continued to farm near Winside until 1974, when they moved to the farm near Wakefield. On April 5, 1994, Mildred died. Jack continued to live on the farm until he moved into the Oaks Retirement Center in Wayne in 2010. In September of 2010 he moved into the Wakefield Health Care Centre, where he was living until his death. Jack enjoyed all aspects of farming. From planting to the harvest. He liked working on his machinery, his trucks and tractors. Jack enjoyed the time he was able to spend with his family. He loved attending all of his grandchildren’s school events. Most of all, Jack loved his great-grandchildren. He is survived by his children: Keith and wife Connie Krueger of Wakefield, Robert and wife Peggy Krueger of Wakefield and Donna Jacobsen and her husband Randy of Winside. Jack is also survived by six grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and two brothers: Dale and wife Lois Krueger of Wayne and Lyle and wife Germaine Krueger of Norfolk. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews. Jack was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Mildred.
