Irma "Tootie" Johnson

Irma "Tootie" Johnson, 89, formerly of Wakefield, Nebraska died at the Aurora Nursing Center in Aurora, Missouri on Monday, October 3, 2011. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 8, 2011 at 10:30 A.M. at Salem Lutheran Church in Wakefield, Nebraska with Pastor Darwin Garton officiating. The visitation will be held on Friday from 3:00 until 8:00 P.M. at the Bressler ~ Munderloh Funeral Home in Wakefield. Burial will be in the Wakefield Cemetery in Wakefield, Nebraska. Irma was born on May 21, 1922 in Wayne, Nebraska, the daughter of Henry and Alvina (Vought) Hinnerichs. She married Walter N. Johnson on September 29, 1942 at Grace Lutheran Church in Wayne, Nebraska. Irma is survived by daughter Sheryl Miller and her husband Glenn of Marionville, MO, sons Kurt Johnson and his wife Connie of West Mineral, KS, and Brad Johnson of Venice, FL. She is also survived by five grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Irma was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Alvina, her husband, Walter, a sister, Dorothy Sampson, and a brother, Harry Hinnerichs. Memorials are suggested to Salem Lutheran Church of Wakefield, Ne, or the American Cancer Society.
