Larry Richardson, 67, of Bancroft, Nebraska, passed away at his home in Bancroft on Tuesday, October 18, 2011. Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 21, at 10:30 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Rosalie, Nebraska, with the Rev. Robert Johnson officiating. A visitation will be held on Thursday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Munderloh Funeral Home in Pender. Interment will be at a later date.
Larry was born on June 11, 1944 in Lyons, Nebraska, the son of Hiram and Irene (Russman) Richardson. He graduated from Rosalie High School in 1962. He had served in the U.S. Army for two years during the Vietnam War. Larry married Connie Pape on December 3, 1966 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Rosalie. To this union four children were born, Angela, Deann, Matt and Cole. He had driven truck until his retirement. Larry loved spending time with his family and was an enthusiastic sports fan. He loved his Nebraska Husker football and women's volleyball. He enjoyed watching his kids play sports and was a supporter of Bancroft-Rosalie football, volleyball, and basketball.
Larry is survived by his wife Connie of Bancroft, daughters Angela Richardson of Kansas City, MO, Deann Richardson of Lincoln, NE, sons: Matt Richardson and his wife Tonya of Kansas City, MO, and Cole Richardson of Council Bluffs, IA and his fiancé Heidi Gustafson. He is also survived by a sister Joann and Sparky Malmberg of O'Neill, NE, brothers-in-law: Vern Pape and his wife Mary Ann of Longmont, CO, Gerrett Pape and his wife Denise of Tucson, AZ, Willis Hartwig and his wife Betty of Longmont, CO, sisters-in-law: Martha Pape of Loveland, CO, and Norma Pape of Rosalie, NE, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Earl, Rex, Ardys, and Lyle.
