Carol R. Carson

Carol R. Carson, 74, of Wakefield, Nebraska died on Wednesday, November 16, 2011 at Providence Medical Center in Wayne, Nebraska. Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 18, 2011 at 10:30 A.M. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Wayne; Father Mark Beran officiating. The visitation will be held on Thursday, from 3:00 until 8:00 P.M. with a prayer service at 7:00 P.M.at the Bressler ~ Munderloh Funeral Home in Wakefield. Burial will be in the Wakefield Cemetery. Carol was born on July 30, 1937, in Randolph, Nebraska, the daughter of Paul and Agnes (Rohloff) Neubauer. She married Arland "Red" Carson on March 31, 1959 in Randolph, NE. The couple moved to Wakefield, in 1969. She had worked as a cook at various restaurants including the Lounge and the Bowling Alley. She had been active in the Gardner Senior Center. She loved baking, walks, gardening and her Dog Scooter, but most of all her family. "Red" passed away on May 27, 2004. Carol is survived by her children: Tami Hammer and her husband Rick of Wakefield, NE, Sandi Stuck and her husband Bob of Norfolk, NE, Kriti Foote and her husband Ed, and Jeanni Carson both of Wakefield, NE. She is also survived by five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, her brother Dick Neubauer and his wife of Yankton, SD, a brother-in-law Virgil Podany of Randolph, NE, and sister-in-law Mary Jo Neubauer of Omaha, NE Carol was preceded in death by her parents, her husband "Red", brother Jim, Sisters Marilyn Podany, and Mary Lea Neubauer.
