Charles Richard Dunn

Charles R. Dunn, 60, of Walthill, Nebraska died at his home on Thursday, December 22, 2011. Funeral services for Charles will be held on Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at 10:30 A.M. at Faith United Presbyterian Church in Walthill, Nebraska; Pastor Harold Ross will be officiating. The visitation will be held on Monday from 4:00 until 7:00 P.M. at the church in Walthill. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery of Walthill. Charles was born on June 22, 1951 in Chicago, Illinois, the son of Lee and Grace (Davenport) Dunn. At a young age, his family moved to Walthill. He graduated from Walthill High School in 1969. After graduation, Chuck worked at various places including Omaha-Line in Walthill, Store More in Fremont, Valmont Industries in Valley, and National C in Pender. For the past 16 years he has been with Gerkin Windows in S. Sioux City. He enjoyed Television and video games, movies and motorcycles. Chuck also enjoyed his cats and cigars. He would often travel to his niece and nephews events, and enjoyed his roadtrips to Colorado and Kansas City. His family was very important to him, and he will be missed by all who knew him. Charles is survived by three sisters: Patty and her husband Don McGhee of Hartington, Sally and husband Tim Jasa of Lyons, Mary K. and husband Larry Marr of Walthill and a brother Steve Dunn and wife Rita of Walthill. He is also survived by six nephews, one niece, nine great nephews and nieces, numerous cousins and aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by his parents Lee and Grace Dunn.
