Faye Peck, 89, of Wayne, Nebraska formerly of Thurston, Nebraska died on Thursday, February 16, 2012 at the Wakefield Health Care Center in Wakefield, Nebraska. Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 20 at 10:30 a.m. at John Huss Presbyterian Church in Thurston with the Rev. Charity Potter officiating. A visitation will be held on Sunday, February 19, from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Munderloh-Smith Home in Pender, Nebraska with the family present from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Interment will be in the Wisner Cemetery in Wisner, NE. Faye was born on May 13, 1922 in Pender, Nebraska, the daughter of John and Ethel (Gaer) Thomsen. She graduated from Thurston High School in 1939. During her life she worked at the Nebraska Ordinance Plant in Fremont, NE, the Pender Creamery, the Pender Clinic, for many years at the Thrifty Market in Thurston and at the Thurston County Treasurers Office. She was a member of AKSARBEN Good Neighbors, Past President of the Presbyterian Women, and organist for John Huss Presbyterian beginning in 1954. She was also a Past Elder of the Presbyterian Church and a member of the "Argue Not Club". She enjoyed playing bridge and square dancing. Faye is survived by daughter, Anita Fuelberth and her husband John of Wayne, NE, two grandchildren: Scott Fuelberth and his wife Ramanda of Omaha, Ne and their son Johnny, Todd Fuelberth and his wife Dawn and their children Ian, Rachel and Colin, also of Omaha, Stepdaughter Judy Hahne and her husband Mert of Coleridge, NE, step daughter-in-law Betty Peck of El Paso, TX, six step grandchildren and several step great grandchildren. Faye was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Elmer, and a stepson Gene Peck.
