Dale E. Cadwallader, 65, of Emerson, Nebraska, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, March 13, 2012. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 17, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Hubbard, Nebraska with Father Paul Albenesius officiating. A visitation will be held on Friday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Church in Hubbard with the family present from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. There will be a prayer service on Friday at 7:00 p.m. Interment will be in St. Mary's Catholic Church Cemetery at a later date.
Dale was born on February 7, 1947 in Hubbard, Nebraska, the son of Thomas "Bud" and Audrey (Blair) Cadwallader. He married Sandra Peters on April 12, 1969 in Hubbard, Nebraska. Dale served in the U.S. Army, entering the service in March of 1966 and being honorably discharged in 1968. During his service he did a tour of duty in Viet Nam. He worked in the concrete construction business for 38 years, purchasing the family business in the late 70's. Dale retired in 2009. Among the pastimes he enjoyed was woodworking and fishing.
Dale is survived by his wife Sandra, sons Pat (Angela) also of Pender, and their children Brenden, Derek and Adam and Mike and his wife Karri of Pender, NE and their children Ashlyn and Hailey. He is also survived by brother Gary and his wife Dixie of Concord, NE, sister Ruth (Lyle) Greenough of Waterbury, as well as many nieces nephews and cousins.
Dale was preceded in death his parents, Bud and Audrey Cadwallader.
