Click here to view video tribute.   Doris Jean Jasa, 73, of Thurston, Nebraska died on Friday, September 21, 2007 at the Pender Community Hospital in Pender, Nebraska. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 25, 2007, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Emerson, Ne, with Pastor Margaret Olson officiating. A visitation will be held on Monday from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Munderloh Funeral Home in Emerson, Nebraska with a prayer service at 7:00 P.M. Interment will be in the Rosehill Cemetery in Pender. Doris Jean was born on March 28, 1934 in Emerson, Nebraska, the daughter of Walter and Helen (Luesebrink) Schopke. She married Joe Jasa on March 3, 1957 in St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Emerson, Ne. She lived all of her life in the Emerson and Thurston area. She enjoyed baking. She loved her children and grandchildren Doris Jean is survived by her husband Joe of Thurston, a daughter Joyce and husband Dean Wieser of Atlantic, Iowa, a son Lyle of Omaha, Nebraska, six grandchildren, a brother Harlan and wife Judy Schopke of Emerson and a sister Vera and husband Dick Longe of Wayne, Nebraska. She was preceded in death by her parents, and a son Dell “Gus” Jasa.
