Ann Busby, 80, of Wakefield, Nebraska died on Tuesday, September 25, 2007
at the Pender Community Hospital in Pender, Nebraska. Funeral services will
be held on Saturday, September 29, 2007 at 10:30 A.M. at Salem Lutheran Church in
Wakefield; Pastor Jerome Cloninger will be officiating. The visitation will
be held on Friday from 3:00 until 8:00 P.M. at the Bressler ~ Munderloh
Funeral Home in Wakefield. Burial will be in the Wakefield Cemetery.
Ann was born on January 28, 1927 on a farm near Wakefield, Nebraska in Wayne
County, one of ten children of Carl and Myrtle (Mathiesen) Sandahl. She was
baptized and confirmed at Salem Lutheran Church in Wakefield. Ann graduated
from Wakefield High School in 1944. At an early age her mother died and she
helped raise her younger brothers and sisters. Later as she raised her
three sons: Rich, Kim and Jonathan, she enjoyed attending their sporting
events and other activities. On April 14, 1990, she married Robert "Bob"
Busby in Central City, Colorado. Ann and Bob enjoyed the time they had
together traveling and dancing. Ann was a member of the VFW Ladies
Auxiliary, where she served as the state flag chairperson. Ann had many
loves in her life, writing, dancing and attending sporting events, but most
of all she loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Ann is survived by her husband Bob of Wakefield, children: Richard Kline of
Omaha, Kim Kline and wife Deb of Papillion, and Jonathan Kline and wife Joni
of Omaha, Kirk Busby and wife LaJuan of Highland Ranch, Colorado and Mike
Busby and wife Lou of Homer, Alaska, ten grandchildren, four
great-grandchildren, a brother Ted and wife Audrey Sandahl of Vancouver,
Washington and a sister Kay and husband Jim Philp of Bellevue, Washington.
She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers and two sisters.
