Jamie Marie (Rath) Lingren

Jamie Marie (Rath) Lingren, 23, of Denison, Iowa, formerly of Pender, Nebraska, passed away on Wednesday, May 16, 2012 at her home in Denison. Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 21 at 10:00 a.m. at the St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Pender with the Rev. Brian Rihner officiating. A visitation will be held on Sunday, from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home in Pender, with the family present from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. Interment will be in the Sutton Nebraska Cemetery at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. Jamie was born on September 7, 1988 in Memphis, TN. At the age of three she moved to Sutton, Nebraska, before moving to Pender in 1993 where she was raised, receiving her education there, and graduating with the class of 2007. She was active in sports throughout High School including basketball, volleyball, softball, track, and she enjoyed swimming most. During High School in Pender she worked as a CNA and as a life guard. Following High School, she furthered her education at the Creative Center in Omaha, Nebraska, receiving her Associate Degree in Graphic Design in 2009. She was diagnosed one week after graduation. Following graduation she was employed as a graphic designer at Children's Hospital in Omaha, and later at the Idea Bank Marketing in Hastings, NE. In addition she did a lot of free lance design work. While in college she met her husband, Aaron Lingren. They moved to Denison Iowa in October of 2010 and were married at Uncle LeRoy's Pumpkin Patch in Denison on September 24, 2011. Afterward they made their home in Denison. In Denison, she worked as a teachers aid, working with Special needs students at Denison High School. She attended Grace Evangelical Free Church in Denison, and was a member of AIGA in Nebraska. She will be remembered for her infectious smile and giggle. She enjoyed going to concerts, walking, designing, spending time with her family. She loved her nieces and nephews and her dogs Autumn and Harper. Her greatest love was listening to music and singing. Jamie is survived by her husband Aaron, her Mother Marilyn Rath of Pender and her step-father Brian Eason of Battle Creek, IA, father-in-law and mother-in-law Steve and Kathy Lingren of Schleswig, IA, brother Ryan Rath of Pender, NE, Sisters: Shere Rath and her finance Travis Tarman and son Micah of Franklin, NE, Diana Hines and son Elijah of Pender, Nakyya Eason of Pender, maternal grandmother, Leona Rath of Sutton, NE, grandparents-in-law Richard and Lois Blum of Manilla, IA, and step grandmother-in-law Patty Conrad of Ida Grove. IA Jamie was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Robert H Rath, grandfather-in-law Merlyn Lingren.
