Lucille A. (Coan) Bottger, 86, of Emerson, Nebraska, passed away on Sunday, June 10, 2012 at Heritage of Emerson in Emerson. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, June 13, at 10:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Emerson with Father Gerald Leise officiating. A visitation will be held on Tuesday from3:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Church, with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. The family will be present from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Interment will be in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Emerson.
Lucille was born to Edward and Dorthea "Dora" (Sebade) Coan on January 1, 1926 in Emerson, Nebraska. She was baptized and confirmed at Sacred Heart Church, and was a lifelong resident of the Emerson area. Lucille graduated from Emerson Sacred Heart School in 1944.She married Harold Elsasser on May 9, 1945. Harold passed away on November 13, 1971. She married Elmer Bottger on January 19 1979. Elmer passed away on September 7, 1982.
Lucille was a member of Sacred Heart Altar Society. She loved working in her flower garden, doing arts and crafts, playing cards and bowling. Lucille made beautiful quilts for her children and grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She loved music, and especially loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Lucille is survived by her children: Larry Elsasser of Longmont Colorado, daughter-in-law Molly Elsasser of Omaha, NE, Lynette Baumann and her husband Walt of Okmulgee, OK, Bill Elsasser and his wife Peg of Woodbury, MN. She is also survived by grandchildren: Bob, Barb and Kelly Elsasser, Chris and Seth Bauman, Nichole, Natalie and Jacob Elsasser. And six great grandchildren, three step great grandchildren, three sisters, Alice Kelly and her husband Mike of Thurston, NE, Elaine Meyer and her husband Charles of McCook Lake, SD, and Mary Hendricks and her husband Fred of Omaha, Nebraska.
Lucille was preceded in death by her parents, Edward Coan and Dora Pope, sisters, Irene Belt and Evelyn Jepsen, brothers Leonard, Bill and Eddie Coan.
