Evangeline M. Bingham, 93, of Ponca, Nebraska, formerly of Allen, died on Saturday, July 7, 2012 at Mercy Medical Center in Sioux City, Iowa. Memorial graveside services for Evangeline will be held on Saturday, July 14, 2012 at 10:00 A.M. at the Wakefield Cemetery in Wakefield, Nebraska; Pastor Sarah Ruch of First Lutheran Church in Allen will be officiating. Evangeline was born on February 11, 1919 in Wakefield, Nebraska, the daughter of Ira and Lydia (Pritchill) Lyman. She was one of fifteen children. After graduating from high school in Wakefield, Evangeline was married to Carroll Bingham. The couple lived on the east coast running an animal shelter for several years. Later in life they moved back to Nebraska, where they made their home. Carroll died on June 8, 1998. She had a great love of animals, especially dogs.
Evangeline is survived by a brother Eugene Lyman of Wyoming and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Carroll, and thirteen brothers and sisters.
