Viola Nellie Ramspott, 87, of Pender, Nebraska died on Tuesday, November 27, 2007 at the Pender Community Hospital in Pender, Nebraska. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 1, 2007 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Pender, Nebraska with the Rev. Don Olson officiating. A visitation will be held on Friday from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Munderloh Funeral Home in Pender, with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. Interment will be in the St. Peter's Lutheran Church Cemetery.
Viola was born on February 9, 1920 in Oakland, Nebraska, the daughter of Charles and Anna (Jensen) Danielson. She was baptized on March 24, 1923 at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Oakland. She was confirmed in 1933 at the Evangelical Free Mission Church in Oakland, NE. She graduated from Oakland High School in 1939. She was married to Arthur Ramspott, on October 10, 1940 at the St. Peter's Lutheran Church Parsonage. After marriage they lived on two different farms west of Pender until 1980 when they moved into town. Arthur died on June 13, 1997. She was a member of the CC Club for over 65 years. She was a member of the ELCA Ladies, and bowled for over 30 years. She was very active at the Pender Senior Center and enjoyed playing cards.
Viola is survived by her son James Ramspott and wife Carol of Fort Calhoun, Nebraska, son Edward Ramspott and wife Pamela of Blair, Nebraska, a daughter Betty and husband Robert Trausch of Juniata, NE; grandsons David Ramspott of Council Bluffs, IA, and his son James Lee; Matthew Ramspott and wife Becca of Cumberland, Md; granddaughters Lori Ramspott Russell and husband George of Omaha, NE and children Dillon Ramspott and Abigayle Russell; Anne Trausch of San Francisco, CA; Danielle Trausch of Juniata, NE; and Sarah Trausch Hoops and son Samuel of Juniata, NE, Sarah's husband Brent serving in the U.S. Army in Iraq;
sisters Mae Wedergren of Oakland, Fern Presser of Pender, Bonnie and husband John Ling of Cedar Falls, IA, Dolores Johnson of Lyons, and brother Robert and wife Frelon Danielson of Oakland, numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Viola is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Arthur, a daughter Beverly Kay, a grandson Joseph Charles Ramspott, two brothers Oscar Danielson and John Danielson, four sisters Mabel Hinz, Dorothy Conway, Esther Burnell, and Kathryn Hoggatt.
