Gregory M. Vogt, 64, of Norfolk, Nebraska died on Friday, November 2, 2012 at his home in Norfolk.
Memorial services for Gregory will be held on Thursday, November 8, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. at the Bancroft Presbyterian Church in Bancroft, Nebraska; Pastor Charity Potter will be officiating. The visitation will begin at 12:00 P.M. on Thursday and will run until the time of the service. Burial will be in the Bancroft Cemetery.
Greg was born on November 21, 1947, in Pender, Nebraska, the son of James and Marie (Mitchell) Vogt. He attended school in Bancroft, graduating in 1966. He played basketball and was involved in music. He attended the University of Nebraska for several years and played in a band called "Milk and Honey". He moved to Norfolk, Nebraska in 1979 and worked at Ricardo's Restaurant for many years. He was an avid Husker fan.
Greg is survived by his mother, Marie Vogt of Pender, NE, a sister, Lou Schweers of Bancroft, a niece, Jamie (Michael) Stout of Petersburg, VA and a nephew Franklyn (Tabetha) Vogt of West Point.
Greg was preceded in death by his father, James, and a brother Frank.
