Helen Nelson

Helen Wilson Nelson, 105, of Ord, Nebraska, formerly of Thurston, NE, passed away on Monday November 19 2012 at the Valley View Living Center in Ord. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 1, at 10:30 A.M. at the Munderloh-Smith Funeral Home in Pender, NE, with the Rev. Miles Ruch officiating. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral at the Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Rosehill Cemetery in Pender. Helen was born August 23, 1907 in Carroll, Iowa, the daughter of James and Ethel (Dean) Blair. She graduated from High School in Thurston, Nebraska. She worked for many years as the Postmaster in Thurston. Helen was the beloved wife of the late, Harold Nelson and Melvin Wilson. Preceded in death by her sons, (Melvin) Verdel Wilson, Gerald Wilson, Lee Wilson and daughter Audrey Rihanek. Helen is survived by her loving grandchildren; David Wilson, Denise Morrow, Nancy Wilson, James Wilson, Valerie Amick, Brett Rihanek, Ken Rihanek and Eric Rihanek.
