Calvin B Rose

Calvin B. Rose, 71, of Walthill, Nebraska died on Sunday, January 20, 2008 at the Pender Community Hospital in Pender, Nebraska. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 24, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. at the Presbyterian Church in Walthill; Pastor Dean Ross will be officiating. The visitation will be held on Wednesday from 3:00 until 8:00 P.M. at the Munderloh Funeral Home in Pender. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery in Walthill. Calvin was born on October 6, 1936 in Winnebago, Nebraska, the son of Walter and Mary (Criss) Rose. He married Mary Kramer in May of 1957. Calvin lived in the Walthill area his entire life. He was a welder and a mechanic. Calvin enjoyed the time he spent with his family, and loved playing the guitar. Calvin is survived by his children: Cheryl Bodlak of Nickerson, Nebraska, Jeanne and husband Rick Doupnik of Monroe, Nebraska, Carol and husband Scott Evans of Pender, Nebraska, Jane Saltzman of North Bend, Nebraska, Wade and wife Anita Rose of Walthill, Nebraska, Chad Rose of Thurston, Nebraska and Jenny and husband Ryan Copple of Springboro, Ohio, sisters: Rhodora “Dody” and husband Carroll Stokes of McCleveland, Iowa, Charlotte Beltz of Hastings, Minnesota and a brother-in-law Emmett McGhee of Homer, Nebraska, 22 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Mary, and a sister Virginia.
