Waleen W. Rabbass

Waleen (Wally) Rabbass, 72, of Pender, Nebraska, passed away on Thursday, February 21, 2013 at Careage of Wayne in Wayne, NE. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 26 at 10:30 A.M. at St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Pender with the Rev. Miles Ruch officiating. A visitation will be held on Monday, from 3:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the Munderloh-Smith Funeral Home in Pender with a family greeting from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. Interment will be in the St. John's Cemetery in Beemer, NE. Waleen was born on June 8, 1940 in rural Cuming County, Nebraska, the son of Walter and Malinda (Broekemeier) Rabbass. He graduated from High School in Beemer. He was a self employed carpenter all of his working career. He did a great deal of work in the Pender, Bancroft area. Waleen enjoyed playing shuffle board and various card games. He was loved and will be deeply missed by his family. Waleen is survived by sons: Kevin of Cushing, IA, Kerry of Pierson, IA, Andrew of Wayne, NE, Trevor of Fremont, NE and Aaron and his wife Angie of Pender, NE, daughters Pam Rohlk and her husband Brad from Holstein, IA and Melissa Rabbass of Wayne, NE. He is also survived by sisters: Lois Kudlac and her husband Elden of Fremont, NE, Carol Giesselman and her husband Tony of Omaha, NE, and Larraine Weitzenkamp and her husband Mel of Fremont, NE, and a brother Larry Rabbass of Delray Beach, Florida, as well as ten grandchildren and four great grandchildren Waleen was preceded in death by his parents and a stepfather Jim Means.
