Karen J. Deemer, 66, of Homer, Nebraska died on Saturday, March 22 2008 at her home in Homer. Memorial services will be held on Thursday evening at 7:00 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Walthill, Nebraska with the Rev. Brion Tolzman officiating.
Karen was born on December 24, 1941 in Macy, Nebraska, the daughter of Lawrence A. and Lorraine A. (Perkins) Anderson. She married Kenneth Deemer in 1961 in Tekamah, Nebraska. They made their home in Walthill until 1985 when they moved to Homer, Nebraska. She loved to cook, and especially loved her family.
Karen is survived by her husband Ken, daughters: Veronica Smith and her husband Bret; and Jill Guy and special friend Clayton Roberts, and a son Brad Deemer and his wife April, 17 grandchildren and one great granddaughter. She is also survived by brothers: Ron Anderson and his wife Pearl; and Roger Anderson of Walthill, and a sister, Gloria Marr of Tekamah.
Karen was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Joan Hawkins, and a son-in-law Roger Guy.
