Arzetta Dittman, 94, of Emerson, Nebraska died Monday, May 6, 2013 at the Good Samaritan Home in Omaha, Nebraska. Funeral will be held on Friday, May 10, 2013, at 10:30 A.M. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Emerson. The visitation will be Thursday from 3:00 until 6:30 at the church, with a prayer service at 6:30 on Thursday evening. Burial in the Rose Hill Cemetery in Emerson.
Arzetta was born on June 18, 1918 in rural Wakefield, Nebraska, the daughter of Henry and Mollie (Lessman) Bartling. She was baptized on July 14, 1918, and was confirmed on March 23, 1932 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Wakefield. Arzetta married Raymond Dittman on August 16, 1942. To this union two children were born, Dan and Molly. Raymond passed away in 1973. She was a care giver, and loved to help others. She also worked at the School in Emerson for a while as a cook. In 2007 she moved to Omaha to be near her children.
She is survived by children Dan(Carolyn) Dittman and Molly Elsasser of Omaha, NE, five grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
Arzetta was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Raymond in 1973, five brothers: Henry, Rollie, Clarence , Ray and Mike, three sisters Irene Bartling, Clara Heckens and Loretta Voss.
