Clair F. Schubert

Clair F. Schubert, 95, of Allen, Nebraska died on Thursday, May 9, 2013 at the Wakefield Health Care Center in Wakefield, Nebraska. Funeral services for Clair will be held on Tuesday, May 14, 2013 at 10:00 A.M. at the United Methodist Church in Allen, Nebraska; Pastor Lorri Kentner will be officiating. The visitation with the family present will be held on Monday from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the Bressler - Munderloh - Smith Funeral Home in Wakefield. Burial will be in Eastview Cemetery in Allen. Memorials are suggested to Providence Home Health Care and Hospice and to the American Cancer Society. Clair was born on May 31, 1917 in Hay Springs, NE, the son of Otto and Edieh (Zentmire) Schubert. He attended and graduated from South Sioux City High School. Clair married Frances Linafelter on October 31, 1938. He had been a resident of Waterbury and Allen all his life. He was a longtime member of the United Methodist Church in Allen, where he was active in church activities. Clair is survived by his four sons and their wives, Marvin and Dianne of Sioux City, IA, Maynard and Paulette of Gretna, NE, Ronnie and Yoshi of Victorville, CA and Roger and Donna of Kearney, NE. He is also survived by six grandsons and two granddaughters, nine great grandchildren and a sister Dorothy Parnell of Edmonds, WA. Pallbearers will be his grandchildren: Keith Schubert, Scott Schubert, James Schubert, Steve Schubert, Stacie Schubert, Donna Kindle, Austin Schubert and Spencer Schubert and a honorary pallbearer Kelly Schubert. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Frances, a granddaughter Kelly Schubert and two sisters and two brothers.
