Arthur O. Zeisler, 80, of Emerson, Nebraska died on Wednesday, July 16, 2008 at Providence Medical Center in Wayne, Nebraska. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, July 19, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Emerson, with the Rev. Gretchen Ritola officiating. A visitation will be held on Friday from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. Interment will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery in Emerson. Art was born November 20, 1927 in Emerson to Otto and Emily (Stallbaum) Zeisler. He was baptized on February 5, 1928 and confirmed on April 18, 1943 at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church. He attended country school and graduated from Emerson High School in 1945. Art was then drafted into the Army and served 2 years, one of which he served in Korea. He was united in marriage with Betty A. Lueth on February 18, 1951 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. Upon returning from the military and following his marriage, he started farming and continued his operation for the next 50 years. He served on St. Paul’s Church Council and was a Brotherhood member. He was a founding member of Dad’s Cowhands 4-H club in 1962. He also served on the Dakota County Fair Board from 1962 to 1976. His greatest joys were his farming, traveling and golfing. Art is survived by his wife, Betty of 57 years, daughter Jeanine and her husband Carl Volinski of San Diego, CA, son Dale and his wife Kim of Emerson, granddaughter Angela, great grandchildren Brendon and Emily of Roscoe Illinois. He is also survived by two brothers, Orville and Bill, both of Emerson, Ne. Art was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Richard one brother, Darrel, and three sisters, Eleanor, Ruby and Bernice.
