Odin H. Anderson

Odin H. Anderson, 87, of Rosalie, Nebraska passed away Sunday, July 13, 2014 at Legacy Gardens Care Center in Pender, NE. Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 17, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. at the Rosalie Town Hall in Rosalie, NE. Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 16, 2014 at Munderloh – Smith Funeral Home in Bancroft, NE from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Burial will be in the Bancroft Cemetery in Bancroft, NE. Memorials may be given to the family for future designation. Arrangements are under the direction of Munderloh – Smith Funeral Home in Bancroft, NE. Odin was born June 29, 1927 to Edwin and Marie (Hermelbracht) Anderson in Bancroft, NE, he was one of 12 children. He attended school at Bancroft High School. On February 21, 1950 Odin married Rosella Munderloh, to this union they had four children. Odin was a lifelong farmer in the Rosalie area. Odin loved spending time with his horses and mules, he spent countless hours raising, training and showing his horses. He also, enjoyed going to horse sales and talking to others about his horses. Along with the horses and mules, Odin enjoyed having Brahma bulls, African Geese and occasionally goats. Most importantly, Odin loved spending time with his family. Odin is survived by his son, Bill (Alicia) Anderson of Windsor, CO; daughters, Carla (Steve) Andersen of Blair, NE, Cindy (Scot) Elliott of Louisville, NE and Melinda (Mike) Russman of Farnam, NE; 10 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; sisters, Luella Petersen, Minnie Dirkschneider, Frances Anderson and Helen Johnson; brothers, Ronnie and Paul Anderson. Odin is preceded in death by his wife, Rosella, his parents, infant brother Hyle, sister, Margie Smith; brothers: Lyle, Milton and Rex Anderson.
