Click here to view the memorial video.Charlotte J. Witt, 75, of Bancroft, Nebraska died on Sunday, September 14, 2008 at the Pender Community Hospital in Pender, Nebraska. Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 19, 2008 at 10:30 A.M. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Bancroft; Pastor Phillip Hale will be officiating. The visitation will be held on Thursday from 3:00 until 8:00 P.M. at the Munderloh Funeral Home in Bancroft. Burial will be in the Bancroft Cemetery. Charlotte was born in Randolph, Nebraska on November 5, 1932, the daughter of Ernest and Orletha (Henningsen) Bierschenk. After graduating from Pender High School, Charlotte worked for Hesse Produce. She was married to Emmett Witt on December 4, 1955 at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Pender, Nebraska. They farmed East of Rosalie, moving to their present farm in 1960. She was an active partner with her husband. Charlotte enjoyed her life on the farm. Her hobbies included flowers, her garden and working with horses. Her greatest love of all was her family. Charlotte is survived by her husband, Emmett, daughter Garnet and husband Brad Gabriel of Douglas, Nebraska and a granddaughter Jami. She is also survived by two sisters Faye Jorgensen and her husband Gordon of Dakota City, Nebraska and Marilyn Millard of Valentine, Nebraska. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother-in-law Paul Millard.
