Lauren L. Wegner

Lauren L. Wegner, 76, of Bancroft, Nebraska died on Wednesday, September 24, 2008 at the University Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 27, at 10:30 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church in Bancroft, Ne with the Rev. Jeffrey Warner officiating. A visitation will be held on Friday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Munderloh Funeral Home in Bancroft with the family present from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Interment will be in the Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery. Lauren was born on February 3, 1932 in Bancroft, Nebraska, the son of William and Mabel (Bruns) Wegner. After graduating from Bancroft High School, Lauren was married to Delores Albus on March 2, 1952 at Zion Lutheran Church. To this marriage two children were born. Lauren and Delores made their home on the farm, where Lauren farmed his entire life. Lauren is survived by his wife, Delores, son Stan Wegner and his wife Patty of Bancroft, Ne, daughter Sandra Brehmer and her husband Rick of Kearney, Ne, four granddaughters, and five great grandchildren. He is also survived by a brother Lester Wegner and his wife June of Bancroft. Lauren was preceded in death by his parents.
