Ann B. Demers

Ann was born on June 3, 1917 in Emerson, Nebraska, the daughter of Fritz and Bertha Steiner. She graduated from Emerson High School, and married John Demers on May 28th, 1938. After her marriage they moved to Washington for a short time, returning to Emerson in 1946. They farmed all of their lives. They moved into Emerson in August of 1988. John died on November 14, 1993. She married Vern McAfee on November 9, 1995. She had been a resident of Heritage of Emerson since June of this year. Ann is survived by her husband, Vern McAfee of Emerson, step daughters, Jo Buck of Tucson AZ, and Karen Durhn of Villa Park, IL. She is also survived by a brother Edward Steiner of Emerson, NE. Ann was preceded in death by her parents and her first husand John.
