Click here to view the video tribute.John P. Moore, 76, of Pender, Nebraska passed away on Thursday, December 11, 2008 at the Pender Community Hospital in Pender, Nebraska. Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 15, at 10:00 a.m. at Munderloh Funeral Home in Pender with Fr. Michael Malloy officiating. A visitation will be held on Sunday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Munderloh Funeral Home in Pender. Interment will be in Rosehill Cemetery in Pender at a later date. John was born on February 5, 1932 in Battle Creek, Nebraska, the son of Paul and Barbara (Souvignier) Moore. He served in the U.S. Army in the Korean War. He Married Gloria Frank on December 26, 1956. After their marriage they moved to Yankton, South Dakota, returning to Pender in 1963. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and spending time with his grandkids. John is survived by his wife, Gloria, sons: John Moore and special friend Denise Wilson of Niobrara, NE; and Jerry Moore and his wife Tammy of Pender, NE, daughters: Mary Greenfield and her husband Marvin of Bancroft, NE; and Patty Bessmer and her husband John of Pender, NE, ten grandkids: Aaron and Ashley Bessmer, Ian and Sam Moore, Tyson, Caleb and Jasmine Greenfield, Mandy and Jamie Johnson, and Candice Welsh. He is also survived by four great grandkids, Zane Moore, Trey and Addilynn Johnson and Zander Welsh, and a sister Mary Kirkland of Battle Creek, Nebraska. John was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Barbara Moore, a sister Helen Henry, a brother Frank Moore, a son Jimmy Moore, and a grandson, John Adam Bessmer.
