Wesley C. Lueth

Wesley C. Lueth, 56, of Wakefield, Nebraska passed away Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at Providence Medical Center in Wayne, NE. Funeral services will be Saturday, March 28, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Salem Lutheran Church in Wakefield, NE; Pastor Barbara Hansen will be officiating. The visitation will be on Friday, March 27, 2015 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Salem Lutheran Church with a prayer service beginning at 7:00 p.m. Burial will be at the Wakefield, Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family for future designation. Arrangements are under the direction of Bressler-Munderloh-Smith Funeral Home in Wakefield, NE. Wes was born on February 6, 1959 to Larry and Barbara (Stark) Lueth in Wakefield, NE. He graduated from Wakefield High School in 1977. Wes later attended Wayne State College where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in communications. On February 19, 1982 in Elk Point, SD and February 20, 1982 in Ponca, NE he married Jolene Smith. To this union two children were born: Andrea and Aaron. Wes worked at several places including: Dohrmans, Great Dane, the City of Wakefield, KPTH, and most recently at Michael’s Foods in Wakefield. There were many different things Wes enjoyed doing with his time. He enjoyed sitting out on his deck on a nice day, listening to his rock CD’s while watching the many birds making use of his bird feeders. He also could be found on his couch rooting on his beloved New York City sports teams from the Jets to the Knicks, but above all else the Yankee’s. But what gave Wes the biggest rush and gave him the most happiness was spending time with his wife, family, friends and above all else his grandkids. He was always quick with a joke and even quicker making friends out of strangers. Wes is survived by his wife Jolene Lueth of Wakefield, NE; son, Aaron (Jessica) Lueth of Wayne, NE; daughter, Andrea (Chuck) Wahls of Ponca, NE; father, Larry Lueth of Wakefield, NE, mother and father-in-law, Dale and Maxine Smith of Allen, NE; sisters, Racquel “Kelly” (Bryan) Holloway of Laurel, NE, Jackie (Todd) Swigart of Phoenix, AZ; grandchildren Delilah Lueth, Jace and Hanna Wahls, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family. He is preceded in death by his grandparents; mother, Barb Lueth; infant sister Traci Lueth, and sister-in-law Shelly Bausch.
