Mary Lou E. Krusemark

Mary Lou E. Krusemark, 92, of Wakefield, Nebraska died on Monday, April 6, 2015 at Providence Medical Center in Wayne, Ne surrounded by her family. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 9, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Wakefield; Pastor William Bertrand will be officiating. The visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 8, 2015 from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m., with the family present from 6:00 until 7:00 p.m. at the Bressler ~ Munderloh ~ Smith Funeral Home in Wakefield with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. Burial will be in the Wakefield Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the family for future designation. Mary Lou was born on April 27, 1922 in Wakefield, Nebraska, the daughter of Carl and Bertha (Doose) Brudigam. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church near Wakefield. In 1939 she graduated from Wakefield High School. Mary Lou was united in marriage to Edward Krusemark on October 18, 1942 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church near Wakefield. To this union five children were born: Ron, Merle, Marcia, Gary and Brenda. The couple made their home on the farm south of Wakefield for 42 years. For several years she worked at the Wakefield Hospital as a Nurses Aid. In 1976, Ed and Mary Lou moved into Wakefield. Ed died on May 24, 2009. Mary Lou enjoyed quilting, crocheting, puzzles and playing cards. Most of all she enjoyed her family, especially her grandchildren. Mary Lou is survived by her children and their spouses: Ron and Corliss Krusemark of Wayne, Merle and Cheri Krusemark of Wakefield, Marcia and Lonnie Nixon of Laurel, Gary and Cathy Krusemark of Omaha and Brenda and Paul Stuart of Omaha. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Ed and brothers: Arnold, Lloyd, Les and Raymond Brudigam.
