William F. Kuhl

William F. “Bill” Kuhl, 86, of Emerson, Nebraska, Passed away on Thursday, January 29, 2009 at the Pender Community Hospital in Pender, Nebraska. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, February 3, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Emerson, with the Rev. Gretchen Ritola officiating. A visitation will be held on Monday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Munderloh Funeral Home in Emerson, with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery in Emerson. Bill was born on October 1, 1922 in Emerson, Nebraska, the son of Theodore and Anna (Eickhoff) Kuhl. He married Frances Cadwallader on December 26, 1949 in Hubbard, NE. The couple farmed near Emerson for 25 years. In 1957 they moved to Alaska where they lived for two years. In 1959 they moved back to Emerson. Bill enjoyed driving trucks, playing cards, New Mexico trips, baseball and spending time with the grandchildren. Bill is survived by his children: Pat Sautter and her husband Joe of Council Bluffs, IA, Paul Kuhl and his wife Sandy of Fairfax, IA, Bonnie Fegenbush and her husband Mark of Whiting, IA, Perry Kuhl and his wife Linda of Tea, SD, and Linda Milliken and her husband Scott of Bennington, NE. He is also survived by fifteen grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, and an aunt, Edna Zastrow, and a cousin, Wilma Dose. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Frances, and two sisters.
