Sandra Kay Barlow

Sandra Kay (Armstrong) Barlow, 69, of Pierce, NE, passed away Wednesday, August 5, 2015 at the Pierce Manor in Pierce, NE. Funeral services will be Monday, August 10, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Bressler-Munderloh-Smith Funeral Home in Wakefield, NE; Mr. Scott Krohn will be officiating. The visitation will be Sunday, August 9, 2015 at Bressler-Munderloh-Smith Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with a prayer service beginning at 7:00 p.m. Burial will be in the Wakefield Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the family for future designation. Arrangements are under the direction of Bressler-Munderloh-Smith Funeral Home in Wakefield, NE. Sandra was born August 4, 1946 in Elkton, MD to Marshal and Pauline (Miller) Armstrong. She married Lewis Barlow on May 22, 1965 in Elkton, MA. The couple had one daughter, Carmen, and were married for 25 years before Lewis passed away in 1988. Sandra worked as a waitress, nurse’s assistant, and as a lead person at Michael’s Foods. She moved to Pierce in 2010. Sandra enjoyed bingo, word searches, and spending time with her family. She is survived by her daughter; Carmen (Gene) Wriedt of Norfolk, NE, grandson; Doug Phipps and his fiancé Jenny Holloway of Norfolk, NE, granddaughter; Crystal (Joseph II) Spell of Norfolk, NE, great grandchildren; Ryder Phipps, Joseph Spell III, Louella Spell, Autumn Holloway, Leanna Holloway and Landon Holloway. Sandra was preceded in death by her parents, husband; Lewis, and brothers; Marshal Armstrong, Jr., and Buster Armstrong.
