Please note:  The Memorial service will now be held at the United Methodist Church in Walthill, NE on Wednesday, September 9, 2015.Richard Woten, Jr. 61, of Walthill, NE, passed away Friday, September 4, 2015 at his home in Walthill. Memorial services will be Wednesday, September 9, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Walthill, NE; Pastor Steve Breazier will be officiating. The visitation will be Tuesday, September 8, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Munderloh-Smith Funeral Home in Pender, NE with a prayer service beginning at 7:00 p.m. Memorials may be directed to the family for future designation. Arrangements are under the direction of Munderloh-Smith Funeral Home in Pender, NE. Richard was born December 23, 1953 in Pender, NE to Richard and Carol (Warnock) Woten, Sr. He was baptized in November of 1956 at the Methodist Church in Walthill and graduated from Walthill High School in 1972. Richard enjoyed working on cars, playing pool, and listening to country music. He was an avid dog lover, especially his own; Doc, Old Man, and Maya. Richard would always have popsicles for the neighborhood kids playing outside. He is survived by his sons, Riley (Brittney) Woten of Yuba City, CA, Ely Woten of Cushing, IA; daughter, Taryn (Kris) Buller of Sioux City, IA; mother, Carol Woten of Walthill, NE; sister, Robin (John) Snyder of Rosalie, NE; brother, Todd Woten of Walthill, NE, and four grandchildren. Richard is preceded in death by his father, Richard Woten, Sr., and maternal and paternal grandparents.
