Click here to view the memorial video.Dale Jensen, 86, of Wakefield, Nebraska died on Sunday evening March 29, 2009 at the Wakefield Health Care Center in Wakefield. A funeral service for Dale will be held on Wednesday, April 1, 2009 at 10:30 A.M. at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Emerson; Pastor Gretchen Ritola will be officiating. The visitation will be held on Tuesday from 3:00 until 8:00 P.M. at the Bressler ~ Munderloh Funeral Home in Wakefield with the family present from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. There will be a prayer service at 7:00 P.M. Tuesday evening at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery in Emerson, Nebraska. Memorials are suggested to the family. Dale was born on November 12, 1922 in Dixon County, Nebraska, the son of Henry and Bertha (Andresen) Jensen. Dale attended rural country school. After school, Dale worked on the farm. He married Blanche Surber on March 22, 1942 at Pender, Nebraska. To this union three sons were born. Dale and Blanche lived and worked on the farm until retiring and moving into Wakefield in November of 1996. Dale is survived by his wife of 67 years Blanche, two sons and their wives: Keith and Midge of Hubbard, Ne and Doug and Patty of Wakefield, Ne, five grandchildren and eight grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son Gary Dale Jensen, one brother Lawrence and a sister Hilda Kubik.
