Gladys M. Brudigam, 89, of Wakefield, Nebraska died on Friday evening April 3, 2009 at the Providence Medical Center in Wayne, Nebraska. A funeral service for Gladys will be held on Wednesday, April 8, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. at St. John's Lutheran Church; Pastor Terry Buethe will be officiating. The visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 7, 2008 from 4:00 until 6:00 P.M. at the Bressler ~ Munderloh Funeral Home in Wakefield. Burial will be in the Wakefield Cemetery.
Gladys was born on October 18, 1919, in Rural Dixon County, the daughter of Gerhardt and Anna (Koester) Stolle. She attended Myrtle Creek School. Gladys worked for several years cleaning house in Sioux City, Iowa, before working at the Wakefield Hospital as a cook for many years. She met and married Raymond Brudigam at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Wakefield on July 2, 1966. Gladys and Raymond made their home in Wakefield. Raymond died on July 27, 2008.
Gladys is survived by a brother-in-law: Arnold Brudigam of Wakefield, a sister-in-law Mary Lou and husband Ed Krusemark of Wakefield, many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Raymond, sisters: Frieda Lockwood, Martha Stalling and an infant sister Verna Stolle; and brothers: Harry Stolle, Herman Stolle and Marvin Stolle.
