Click here to view the memorial video.Frances L. “Teenie” Cadwallader, 83, of Sioux City, Iowa, passed away on Thursday, April 30, 2009, after a short illness, at St. Luke’s Regional Medical Center in Sioux City, Iowa. Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 4, 2009 at 10:30 A.M. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Hubbard with Fr. Paul Albenesius officiating. A visitation will be held on Sunday, from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with a Prayer service at 7:00 p.m. Interment will be in the St. John’s Catholic Cemetery in Hubbard.
Frances was born on June 11, 1925 to William and Emma (Fleming) Dyer. She was raised in the south bottoms area of Sioux City. She married Charles Cadwallader on April 28, 1960 in Sioux City, Iowa. They resided in Sergeant Bluff, Iowa. Charles passed away on November 25, 2004.
Frances worked at several packing plants including, Cudahay’s, Armour and after 30 years she retired from Swift. She enjoyed cooking Sunday dinners for the family, watching “CSI”, and enjoying watching the grandkids grow up. She was a member of Nativity Catholic Church.
Frances is survived by her son, Billy and his wife Amy of Lawton, Iowa, a daughter, Chris and her husband Keith Kilpatrick of Sergeant Bluff, Iowa, a son, Dick Harper and his wife Alison of Sioux City, Iowa, five grandchildren: Emily Cadwallader of Lawton, IA; Megan Kilpatrick, of North Sioux City, SD; Seth and Curtis Harper of Sioux City, IA; and Casey Harper of Fort Dodge, IA.
Frances was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Charles, a son, Pat Harper, a stepson, Mick Cadwallader, two brothers, Robert and Joe Dyer, and five sisters, Pat Pirog, Josephine Derby, Margaret Dyer, Veronica Napier and Mary Braunger.
