Roland C. Moeller

Roland “Rollie” C. Moeller, 88, of Pender, Nebraska died on Friday, May 1, 2009 at the Pender Community Hospital in Pender, Nebraska. The funeral service for Roland will be held on Tuesday, May 5, 2009 at 10:30 A.M. at St. John’s Lutheran Church near Pender; Pastor Richard Pingel will be officiating. The visitation will be held on Monday from 3:00 until 8:00 P.M. at the Munderloh Funeral Home in Pender, a prayer service will be held at 7:00 P.M. Burial will be in the St. John’s Lutheran Church Cemetery. Roland was born on March 27, 1921, on the family farm to Albert and Laura (Dossow) Moeller. Roland was baptized on April 10, 1921 and later confirmed on June 17, 1934 at St. John’s Lutheran Church. Roland married Alta Buerman on December 31, 1941 at Wisner, Nebraska. Alta died on November 11, 1993. H was married to Elaine (Mueller) Stuckenschmidt on February 10, 1998. Roland farmed and fed cattle his entire life. He enjoyed driving the combine at harvest, and was always ready to drive the truck to haul grain or livestock. Roland loved to square dance and ballroom dance. He held several offices at St. John’s including: stewardship, trustee and elder. Roland is survived by his wife Elaine, a son Randy both of Pender, and a sister Roseda Wyant of Omaha. He is also survived by three nephews: Paul Wyant of Miramar Beach, FL, David Wyant of Omaha, NE and Rob Wyant of Glen Ellyn, IL. Also surviving Roland is Elaine’s family: her daughter Nancy and husband Mark Trimble; four grandsons and their wives: Matt and Janet, Aaron and Sara , Daniel and Krista, Stephen and Megan and four great grandchildren. Roland was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Alta in 1993 and a brother Elder Moeller.
