Clara Elizabeth (Anderson) Lamp, 92, of Emerson, NE passed away Sunday, April 10, 2016 at Heritage of Emerson in Emerson, NE. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, April 14, 2016 at St. Luke Lutheran Church in Emerson, NE; Pastor Gretchen Ritola and Vicar Rebecca Truland will be officiating. Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at St. Luke Lutheran Church with a prayer service starting at 7:00 p.m. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery in Emerson, NE. Memorials may be given to the family for future designation. Arrangements are under the direction of Munderloh – Smith Funeral Home in Emerson, NE.
Clara was born May 5, 1923, to Ernest and Emma (Filmer) Anderson in rural Dakota County. She attended Emerson High School through her freshman year then transferred to Homer High School and graduated in 1940. On January 20, 1943 Clara married Wilbur Lamp at St. Luke Lutheran Church in Emerson. To this union, five children were born; Robert, Kenneth, Bonnie, Keith and Emily.
Clara was a member of St. Luke Lutheran Church and the Miriam Circle. She loved being outdoors, tending to her flowers, doing puzzles, reading, and watching sports from football to NASCAR. Above all, her greatest joy was her family. Nothing gave her more pleasure than spending time with them, always sharing her smile and laughter.
Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Robert (Connie) Lamp of Papillion, NE, Keith (Diane) Lamp of Emerson, NE; daughters, Bonnie (Lowell) Warren of Lincoln, NE, Emily (David) Heeney of South Sioux City, NE; daughter-in-law, Denise Lamp of Emerson, NE; sister-in-law, Marilyn Temple of Greeley, CO; 14 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren.
Clara is preceded in death by her parents; husband Wilbur in 1993; son, Kenneth in 1998; great grandchildren, William, Mallory and Fischer Dameier and Eli Grady; brothers, John and Lester Anderson.
