Click Here To View Memorial Video.Edward R. Krusemark, 86, of Wakefield, Nebraska died on Sunday, May 24, 2009 at Providence Medical Center in Wayne, Nebraska. Funeral services for Ed will be held on Friday, May 29, 2009 at 10:00 A.M. at St. John's Lutheran Church in Wakefield; Pastor Terry Buethe will be officiating. The visitation will be held on Thursday from 3:00 until 8:00 P.M. at the Bressler ~ Munderloh Funeral Home in Wakefield, Nebraska. The family will be present from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. on Thursday with a prayer service at 7:00 P.M. Burial will be in the Wakefield Cemetery.Ed was born on June 7, 1922, in Pender, Nebraska, the son of Bill and Clara (Schopke) Krusemark. He married Mary Lou Brudigam on October 18, 1942 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church near Wakefield. The couple made their home on the farm south of Wakefield for 42 years. In 1976, Ed and Mary Lou moved into Wakefield. He retired from farming in 1984. Ed enjoyed his family and many hobbies. He also enjoyed playing cards. He was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church of Wakefield.Ed is survived by his wife of 66 years Mary Lou, children and their spouses: Ron and Corliss Krusemark of Wakefield, Merle and Cheri Krusemark of Wakefield, Marcia and Lonnie Nixon of Laurel, Gary and Cathy Krusemark of Omaha and Brenda and Paul Stuart of Omaha. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren a brother William and wife Sharlene Krusemark of Pender, 2 sisters Edna Mae Frey of Thurston, Ne and Mila Jean and husband Arnie Samuelson of Mesa, AZ, also many nieces, nephews and cousins.He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant sister, sisters Mylet Krusemark, Clarabelle Krusemark, and Wilma Jorgensen, brothers LeRoy and Willis Krusemark.
