Kelley Swanson

Kelley C. Swanson, 58, of Wayne, NE, passed away Thursday, June 30, 2016 at Careage Campus of Care in Wayne, NE after a short bout with cancer. A memorial mass will be held on Tuesday, July 5, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Wayne, NE. A memorial visitation will begin 1 hour prior to the service on Tuesday morning. Inurnment will be in the Evergreen Cemetery in Walthill, NE. Memorials are suggested to the family for future designation. Bressler – Munderloh – Smith Funeral Home of Wakefield is in charge of the arrangements. Kelley was born on September 8, 1957 in Sioux City, IA, the daughter of William and Frances (Rossiter) Connealy. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Walthill, NE. Kelley attended Walthill High School, graduating in 1975. In 1987 she earned her Bachelors of Arts degree from Wayne State College. She worked for several years at Michael’s Foods in Wakefield, NE. Survivors include her daughters, Sarah Connealy of Denver, CO, Rachel Connealy of Nantucket, MA and Jordyn Swanson of Wayne, NE. She is also survived by her mother, Fran Connealy of Wayne, NE; sisters, Anne (Jeff) Hayes of Albion, NE, Kaye (Tom) Posch of Vermillion, SD, Pat (Jon) Knutson of Schuyler, NE, brother, Paul Connealy of Sioux City, IA; and long-time companion, John Pflanz of Wayne, NE. She was preceded in death by her father, Bill Connealy; uncle, James Rossiter; and aunt, Betty Shields; and grandparents.
