Vivian W. Coryell

Vivian W. (Frey) Coryell, 95, of Pender, Nebraska passed away Tuesday, August 30, 2016 at Legacy Garden Rehabilitation and Living Center in Pender. Funeral services will be Friday, September 2, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at the United Church of Pender; Pastor Steven Breazier is officiating. The visitation will be Thursday, September 1, 2016 at Munderloh-Smith Funeral Home in Pender from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery in Pender. Memorials may be directed to Legacy Garden Rehabilitation and Living Center. Arrangements are under the direction of Munderloh-Smith Funeral Home in Pender. Vivian was born November 21, 1920 in Winifred, MT to Charles and Tillie (Swanson) Peterson. On December 25, 1937, she married Woodrow Frey at the Peterson residence in Thurston, NE. Woodrow passed away in 1966. She later married Roy Coryell in 1972. Vivian was active in the Thurston Methodist Church, where she was the Sunday school superintendent for many years. The Pender Methodist and United Church of Pender were also important to her. Vivian was a member of the C.C. Club and other organizations. She enjoyed reading, sewing, watching the Lawrence Welk show and was an excellent cook and entertainer. Our family was blessed to have such a loving and caring mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, and great grandmother. Vivian is survived by her son, Woodrow A. (Shirley) Frey of Thurston, NE; daughters, Barbara (Bob) Rickett of Colorado Springs, CO, Jane Wood of Colorado Springs, CO, Lynn (Mike) Roberts of Emerson, NE, Leone Coryell of Fort Collins, CO, Amy (Gary) Wilson of Emerson, NE; sisters, Gladys (Bill) Kelly of Castle Rock, CO; sister-in-law, Helen Frey of Pender, NE; grandchildren, Marty (Rhonda) Rickett, Corwin Rickett, Gina (Rob) Daugherty, Steven (Shannon) Wood, Andrea Wood (Michele Armstrong), Lance Frey (Matt VIgil), Shauna (Mark) Kinning, Clint (Courtney) Frey; and 17 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Woodrow Frey and Roy Coryell; parents; brothers, Ernest (SetSue), Chester (Mamie), Charles, Vern (Marjory); sisters, Marie (Othar), Bessie (Albert), Flavian; In-laws, Myrtle (Joe), Harvey (Della), Frank (Lillian), Anna (Henry), Goldie (Ed), Beulah (George), Thomas (Daisy), Opal (Alvin), Mary (Erwin), Earl, Deree (Lu), Ervin (Edna), Della (Tony).
