Mylet Mae (Ostrand) Zvacek, 97, of Norfolk, NE passed away Tuesday, September 13, 2016 at St. Joseph's Rehabilitation and Care Center in Norfolk, NE. Memorial services will be Monday, September 19, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at the United Church of Pender in Pender, NE; with Pastor Steven Breazier officiating. A memorial visitation will be Sunday, September 18, 2016 from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at Munderloh – Smith Funeral Home in Pender. Inurnment will be at the Rosehill Cemetery in Pender. Memorials may be directed to the United Church of Pender. Arrangements are under the direction of Munderloh-Smith Funeral Home in Pender, NE.
Mylet was born June 15, 1919 in Pender to Axel and Helen (Anderson) Ostrand. She graduated from Pender High School in 1937 and was united in marriage to Willard Zvacek on July 6, 1942 in Junction City, KS.
She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary, Legion Auxiliary, Pender Hospital Auxiliary, and held many offices in the Presbyterian Church and women’s groups. Mylet worked at the sale barn in the office and café. She enjoyed cooking, baking, and playing bingo.
Mylet is survived by daughter, Nancy Foll of Norfolk, NE; sister, La Donna Witschi of Omaha, NE; daughter-in-law, Shirley Burmeister of Fort Calhoun, NE; grandchildren, Julie (JP) Emmons of Lincoln, NE, Sarah (Neil) Gohl of McCook, NE, Eric (Philicia) Foll of Beaverton, OR, Ryan Foll of Omaha, NE; great grandchildren, James and Joslynn Emmons and Clayton and Lucas Gohl.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Willard; son, Clinton; brother, Floyd Ostrand; sister, Evelyn Fillipi; son-in-law, William Foll.
