Nolting, 70, of Rosalie, Nebraska passed away on Tuesday, July 14, 2009 at the Oakland Mercy Hospital in Oakland, Nebraska.  Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 18, at 2:00 p.m. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Bancroft, Nebraska with the Revs. Philip Hale and Dudley Nolting officiating.  A visitation will be held on Friday from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m., with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. at the Munderloh Funeral Home in Pender, NE.  Interment will be in the Bancroft Cemetery in Bancroft, NE. Janice was born on October 19, 1938, in Pender, Nebraska, the daughter of Carl and Clara (Gralheer) Wichman.  She was baptized and confirmed at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church of rural Pender.  Janice graduated from Pender High School in 1956, and worked at Pender State Bank until her marriage to Lyle Nolting on November 8, 1959.  They farmed together for nearly 50 years, wintering in Florida for the past 20 years. Janice was active in Valley View Extension Club, the Pender Hospital Auxiliary, the Rosalie Old Settler’s Committee and various activities at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church of Bancroft including Altar Guild.  Janice was an accomplished seamstress, cook, and homemaker. Janice is survived by her husband, Lyle of Rosalie, Ne, son Reverend Dudley and his wife Elizabeth Nolting of Pullman, Washington, daughters: Candace and David McIsaac of Salt Lake City, Utah; Vawn and Matt Stark of North Platte, Ne; Marty and Keith Potter of Fremont, NE; Marla Nolting of Tomball, Texas; Michele Nolting and Rich Lujan of Santa Fe, NM; and son-in-law Ken Allen of McCook, NE, twenty grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.  She is also survived by a sister Lois Fillipi, brother Leon Wichman and his wife Jana, all of Pender, sister-in-law Linda and husband Harry Hagar of Barboursville, West Virginia and many nephews and nieces. Janice was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Clara Wichman, a daughter, Tami Allen, an infant grandson, Marcus Nolting, step mother Mildred Wichman, brothers: Roger and Norman Wichman, sister-in-law Karen Wichman, brother-in-law Marvin Fillipi and in-laws Ione and Earl Dixon, Leroy and Mildred Nolting, Elvira and Rolly Haas, and Maurine and Ardell Simonsen.
