June D. Blankenship

June Blankenship, 80, of Pender, Nebraska died on Saturday, July 18, 2009 at the Pender Community Hospital in Pender, Nebraska. A funeral service for June will be held on Tuesday, July 21, 2009 at 10:30 A.M. at the Covenant Church of Pender; Pastor Dan Springer will be officiating. The visitation will be held on Monday from 2:00 until 5:00 P.M. at the Munderloh Funeral Home in Pender. Burial will be in the Rosehill Cemetery in Pender. June was born on October 5, 1928 in Wauneta, NE, the daughter of Dewey and Thelma Hill. June was married to Duane L. Blankenship on January 21, 1945. She is survived by her husband Duane of Pender, a daughter Sharon and husband Al Maul of Pender, two sons: Michael Blankenship and his wife Janet of DeSoto, MO and Tim Blankenship and wife Jody of Omaha, Ne, five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren: Tammy Maul-Bodlak and her husband Dan Bodlak and their children Alexis and Mason Bodlak of Thurston, NE; Alisha Wist and her husband Erik Wist of Atlanta, GA; Nicole Daugherty and her husband Brian Daugherty and their daughter Grace of Festus, MO; Jackie Blankenship of Festus, MO; and Michelle Hays and her husband Kevin of Independence, MO. She is also survived by her brothers and sisters: Delores Collins, Tom Hill, Shirley Ball, and Jack Hill and wife Peggy, and several nephews and nieces. June was preceded in death by her parents, a son James and daughter Sandra, and her sister Bonnie Hanna.
