Click here to view the memorial video.Melvin H. Munderloh, 87, of Bancroft, Nebraska died on Wednesday, July 22, 2009 at the Ashland Care Center in Ashland, Nebraska. A funeral service for Melvin will be held on Monday, July 27, 2009 at 10:30 A.M. at Zion Lutheran Church near Bancroft; Rev. Jeff Warner will be officiating. The visitation will be held on Sunday from 3:00 until 8:00 P.M. at the Munderloh Funeral Home in Bancroft. Burial will be in the Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery. Melvin was born on December 23, 1921 in Bancroft, Nebraska the son of Edward and Anna (Groth) Munderloh. He married W. Herta Lambrecht on January 12, 1946. The couple made their home near Bancroft where they farmed. Herta died on April 22, 1983. Melvin is survived by a daughter Larrileen and husband Alex Volterri of Omaha, son Marlin and wife Teresa Munderloh of Wisner and son Maynard and wife Linda Munderloh of West Point. He is also survived by four grandchildren and one great granddaughter born on July 19, 2009, a sister Mrs. Bob (Darlene) Kardell, brothers Reinold Munderloh of Bancroft, and Donald Munderloh of Scribner. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Herta a daughter Genevra and a grandson Daniel.
