Carroll R. Addison, 72, of Laurel, Nebraska died on Saturday, January 7, 2017 at his home near Laurel surrounded by his family. Funeral services for Carroll will be held on Tuesday, January 10, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Concordia Lutheran Church in Concord, NE; Pastor Randall Herman will be officiating. The visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the Church. Burial will be in the Concord Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to ELCA Disaster Relief or Concordia Lutheran Church. Bressler – Munderloh – Smith Funeral Home of Wakefield is in charge of the arrangements. Carroll was born on November 28, 1944 in Sioux City, IA, the son of Craig and Clarabell (Mackey) Addison. He attended school in Laurel, NE graduating from Laurel High School in 1962. He entered the United States Army in 1966, serving during the Vietnam War. After his discharge, he was united in marriage to Georgia Vollers in Las Vegas, NV on December 30, 1968. To this union two daughters were born: Jade and Dawn. Carroll received his pilots license, enjoyed riding his Harley and traveling the Missouri River with his good friend Jack Meyer. Most of all he loved the time spent with his family. He will forever be known as a good son, husband, father and grandfather. Carroll is survived by his wife Georgia of Laurel, NE; daughters, Jade N. Addison (Robert Dunn) of Sturgis, SD and Dawn M. Addison-Corbit (Mathias Gubbels) of Laurel, NE and two grandchildren Addison Jo and Audra Corbit. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Clark Addison.
