Marvin Clarence Heise, 91, of Pender, NE passed away Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at Old Mill Rehab in Omaha, NE. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 1, 2017 at St. John’s Catholic Church in Pender, NE; with Father Paul Ortmeier Celebrating Mass and Father Gerald Leise Concelebrating. Visitation will be held 5:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, March 31, 2017 at St. John’s Catholic Church with a Wake service starting at 5:00 p.m. Burial with Military Honors will be held in the Holy Cross Catholic Church Cemetery in Bancroft, NE. Arrangements are under the direction of Munderloh – Smith Funeral Home in Pender, Nebraska. Marvin was born December 13, 1925 to Clarence and Ruth Heise. He graduated from Rosalie High School in 1943. On July 29, 1950, Marvin married Elsie Esther Urbanec and the couple had thirteen children. Marvin was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church and was a lifelong farmer. He enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, telling stories and joking around, and traveling to the east coast and wintering in Texas with Elsie. Marvin was one of a kind and loved by everyone. Marvin is survived by his sons, Clifford (Vickie) Heise, Ivan Heise, Bradley (Teresa) Heise, Daniel (Rebecca) Heise, Rodney (Rhonda) Heise, Mark Heise, Troy Heise; daughters, Karen Todaro, Diane Heise, Debra (Timothy) Wortman, Angela (Daniel) Knudsen, and Kimberly (Daniel) Shekleton; sister Alice Spangler; and 25 grandchildren. Marvin is preceded in death by his wife, Elsie; son, Russell; parents, Clarence and Ruth Heise; sisters, Audrey Hansen, Evelyn Hinrichs and an infant sister.
