Milton "Mick" M. Bressler

Milton Michael "Mick" Bressler, age 60, died on September 4, 2009 at the Norfolk Veterans Home after a lengthy illness. A memorial service for Mick will be held on Tuesday, September 8, 2009 at 10:00 A.M. at the Munderloh Funeral Home in Pender. A visitation will be held on Monday from 3:00 until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Rosehill Cemetery in Pender. Mick was born on April 18, 1949 in Pender, NE to Milton F. Bressler and Mary Benson of Emerson, NE. Mick was raised in Emerson. He graduated from Emerson High School in 1967. He enlisted in the Army on march 30, 1970, and was stationed at Fort Lewis, WA and Okinawa, Japan. He was discharged on March 29, 1973. On April 30th, 1976 he married Karen Appleton at St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Pender. He is survived by his wife and two children Michael David Bressler and his fiance Nichol Heinemann of Lawrence, NE and Kristen Tibor and her husband Jason of Grand Forks, ND. He has 4 grandaughters Grace, Cecilia Jo, Claire Tibor, and Molly Bressler. Mick has two brothers Rod Bressler and wife Jeannia of Laurel, Nebraska and Dean Bressler. He has two sisters Mary Lass and friend Mike French of Bancroft, Nebraska and Ann Peck and husband Jason of Long Island, New York. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Wayne. Mick was a member of the Thurston Legion and was Commander of the Thurston Legion in 1977. Mick worked at IBP in West Point and Dakota City. He worked at Gateway for 9 years. He was employed at Blue Ox in Pender for the last 6 years.
