Jerrold L. Robertson

Jerrold “Jerry” Lee Robertson, 55, of Pender, Nebraska passed away on Friday, May 14, 2010 at the Pender Care Centre in Pender. Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 17, at 11:00 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Walthill, NE, with the Rev. Steve Breazier officiating. A visitation will be held on Sunday from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. with the family present from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. and a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. at the Munderloh Funeral Home in Pender. Interment will be in the Rosehill Cemetery in Pender. Jerry was born on August 10, 1954 at the Pender Community Hospital to Robert and Mary Ann (Heck) Robertson. He was baptized and confirmed in the Walthill United Methodist Church. He graduated from Walthill Public School in 1973. Jerry drove truck for several transfer companies. He was a certified Police Officer, and was a former member of the Walthill Fire and Rescue Squad. He also worked on the police force in Walthill and Winnebago. He was a resident of the Pender Care Centre since August of 2005. He married Patricia (Crippen) on August 19, 1989. Pat died on April 28, 2004. Jerry had a great outlook on life, and never let his illness affect his living. He enjoyed writing poems, assembling puzzles, reading, Nebraska Cornhusker Football, and spending time with his family and his extended family in the Care Centre. He will be missed by all who knew him. Jerry is survived by his mother, Mary Ann Robertson of Pender, step-daughter Kim (Daryl) Shupe of Pender, NE, step-son Tony (Lisa) Crippen of Pender, brother Rick of Pender, sisters: Robbie (Denny) Piper of Walthill, NE; Mary Robertson of Lincoln, NE, and Sue Robertson of Pender, NE, grandsons: Nick and Shane Crippen, granddaughter Amanda (Dustin) Isner. great-grandson Kemper, Brodrick and Oliver and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Jerry was preceded in death by his father, Robert, and his wife, Pat.
