R. Charlotte Ekeroth

R. Charlotte Ekeroth, 97, of Wakefield, Nebraska died on Monday, May 17, 2010 at the Wakefield Health Care Center. The visitation will be held on Friday, May 21, 2010 from 3:00 until 7:00 P.M. at the Bressler ~ Munderloh Funeral Home in Wakefield. The funeral will be held on Saturday, May 22, 2010 at 10:30 A.M. at the Wakefield Presbyterian Church in Wakefield. Pastor Charity Potter will be officiating. Burial will be in the Wakefield Cemetery next to her parents. Charlotte was born on January 29, 1913, in Wakefield, the daughter of Ernest W. and Elsie (Miller) Ekeroth. Charlotte graduated from Wakefield High School. She started her long career at the post office as a clerk, and later became the Postmaster of the Wakefield Post Office. She retired in 1983. Charlotte was a member of the Presbyterian Church, and the National Association of Postmasters. She is survived by a sister-in-law Annabelle Ekeroth (Ernest Milton) of Houston, Texas, and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. Charlotte was preceded in death by her parents, and by her brothers and sisters: Laurence Ekeroth of Utah, Nettie Ekeroth of Nebraska, Adah Thompson of Virginia, and Ernest M. Ekeroth of Texas.
