Patrick "Pat" Neil Krueger

Patrick Neil Krueger, 48, son of Leroy and Patricia (Neill) Krueger, of Emerson, Nebraska, passed away on Saturday, June 5, 2010, at his home in rural Emerson. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 9, at 10:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Emerson, with Father Michael Malloy officiating. A visitation will be held on Tuesday from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Sacred Heart Church, with a wake service at 7:00 p.m. Interment will be in Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Emerson. Patrick was born on November 4, 1961 in Wakefield, Nebraska. He graduated from Emerson-Hubbard High School in 1981. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He was a life-long farmer and cattleman in rural Emerson. Patrick enjoyed fishing and camping vacations. He loved the chance to “ride the sky” with his brother Leon before his passing. He took the time to attend many activities of his nieces and nephews from birthday parties to ball games to musicals to graduations to weddings. Uncle Pat always did his best to be there. He enjoyed helping them learn to drive the 4 wheeler, ride horses, feed the baby calves, and all the chores of the farm. Patrick is survived by his mother, Patricia, four brothers: Randy (Becky) of Emerson, Dale (Kelli) of Emerson, John (Mary) of Kensington, KS, and Jeff (Becky) of Thurston, NE, three sisters: Susan (Michael) Sherry of St. Paul, MN; Karen (George) Holm of O’Neill, NE; Debra (Donald) Thrailkill of Seward, NE, sister-in-law Faye Krueger of Emerson, 27 nieces and nephews, and six great nieces and nephew. Patrick was preceded in death by his father, Leroy and a brother, Leon, grandparents August and Frances (Starzl) Krueger and James and Nellie (McQueen) Neill.
